Borderlands 3 Cut Content: Sorted Audio and Assets Masterpost
Possible spoilers inbound! If you're cool with that, keep reading. Since I noticed that Scooper stuff I found got super popular over here on reddit and everything's kind of getting out of hand on tumblr, I decided I should probably just share everything I've found so far in the game files. I'm not done sorting the audio files yet (there are still 28k of them left, have mercy), but I'll share what I have sorted at the moment + speculation as to what it is and what else. I'm the dude who also found the Krieg audio files, and accidentally leaked the Casino DLC. I am so sorry, Gearbox. In my defense, it was already on my computer, just begging me to look at it. Here's a link to the google drive with everything in it. I use umodel to look at everything and export the textures, so some screenshots I have of quests/models will be through that (I'll upload those directly using imgur). Also, so sorry, some audio stuff is messily or not fully sorted yet (you'll notice when you enter some folders like 'enemies' or 'npcs' that i just threw some files in there for quicker sorting). Holding off on the audio stuff now, let's talk about the textures and models and stuff. My favorite folder is the UI folder, because there is SO MUCH STUFF IN THERE. So much. I drooled over it for hours the other week. So going in order:
UI FOLDER:
if you go into the _SHARED folder, you'll notice CURRENCY ICONS. In there is a Diamond Key. I assume this is in line with the words 'Diamond Chest' on the floor of Sanctuary. I haven't found much on this, but it is interesting to see. You can also use this folder to see every head/skin/trinket/decoration item in the base game, they all start with CUSTOM ICONS. Nothing new here I've seen yet, but I think it's interesting enough to take note of. Under EMOTE ICONS is a dabbing emote which im like 90% sure isn't in the game since I'd use it nonstop if it were. IN-WORLD AND MAP ICONS is an interesting folder because there are these icons named ERIDIAN GATE OPEN and ERIDIAN GATE CLOSED. These are mentioned by Tannis in some cut audio files from her, which I'll bring up later once we get into the audio files. You can also see the DIAMOND CHEST icon here. In addition, there's an icon for SIRENSKILLTARGET and while I don't play Amara, I asked my friend who did and they had no idea what that could be in reference to. If anyone can enlighten me, I'd be in your debt. Under MANUFACTURER SKINS you can see the logo for S&S MUNITIONS Under the SKILL ICONS folders for each character, you can see what their skills were originally named. I like Zane's because they labeled Supersonic Man as "Gotta Go Fast". Amara is interesting because she has a skill called PHASEDASH and PHASEBLAST which I thought were neat alternative action skills. TEXTURES I'm actually not sure what this is meant to be. You can see a bunch of unused Amara icons in this folder tho. And for some reason Fl4k's is a goat. It's possible these are simply the placeholder icons for their skill trees before they had the Skill Icons folders. Moving back out to UI we have the CATCHARIDEMENU folder, which has more EMPEROR stuff in PART ICONS. You can also see a few vehicle skins and placeholder art for stuff. CITIZEN SCIENCE: alright buckle down cuz this folder is crazy. I'm 90% sure this was meant to be a short playable pixel RPG in-game. It's so cute. You can see Tina, Mordy, Lily, Brick, Claptrap, Ellie, and Tannis as character level select icons, plus a bunch of pick ups. My favorite is probably the Eridium in the jar. It's just cute looking. moving on in the CREDITS folder you can find all the credits pictures, which I thought was cute enough to warrant mentioning here Under the folder DLCSTORE you can see a bunch of placeholder items, including an old tiny tina's AODK texture. the inner folder just contains CUSTOMIZATIONS and EXPANSIONS. which is what we've been told, so that's nice to see. under the ECHO folder is where I found SCOOPER. you can also see EVIL TROY and EVIL TYREEN. the folder FRONTEND CONTAINERS has some unique art in it, plus that NEW CHARACTERS ART people found on their consoles. It's super blurry, but you can make out people. You can also see a picture of Troy standing in a totally revamped Vault arena. No idea if that's meant to be the Vault of the Architects or the Vault of the Destroyer. I can't tell. under INVENTORY MENU you can see another DIAMOND KEY LOADING has a cute piece of art I haven't seen anywhere else under MAP is all the location images for fast traveling without any text, plus some 'behind the scenes' placeholder Claptrap art that is amazing. under MENUS > MAIN > TEXTURES you can see the placeholder PROJECT OAK icon they used MODAL TUTORIAL gives a bunch of art I personally haven't seen before (i turned tutorials off before I left the recruitment center). I really like Tannis's NEWS FULLSCREEN has more placeholder art, including bloody harvest art of Gaige and Salvador from BL2 OPTIONS > GRAPHICSOPTIONSHELPERPICTURE has a bunch of fun scenery to look at QUICKCHANGEMENU has a picture of Moze wearing a shark head, plus the dabbing emote icon moving out of UI we can go back to Art and look at Pickups
PICKUPS
The most notable thing in here is the room decoration PARCEL. I assume we were meant to get mail as actual in-game mail at one point. Through TORGUE'S PACKAGE DELIVERY!!! There's even a unique skin for the package for legendary items. Moving back again...
PATCH DLC
this stuff is stuff i got after some patches were released. i was curious. In BLOODY HARVEST you can see all the decals for skins and particle effects for ghosts In CUSTOMIZATIONS you can see the Bloody Harvest heads, as well as the Stream Team exclusive heads. Plus the Twitch ECHO and TRINKET DANDELION is the name of the casino dlc. There's a peach under room decorations. You can also find the Mercenary day ECHO skins. This is also where you can find all the map art and textures. Interestingly for this there is a pic of Athenas labeled PlanetDLC1 under LOCATION IMAGES. Not sure why. but hey. Moving back again....
MAP SPECIFIC
FESTIVAL: Here we can find images used in the Carnivora quest with the game show host. There is one creepy fuckin picture of Tyreen, plus pictures of Troy and Killavolt I don't think they used. WATERSHIP: a bunch of different signs from Eden-6. I thought they were interesting enough to bring attention to. I personally like the STAY OUT, ACTIVE VOLCANO sign. I was really hoping we'd actually get to see that volcano in game. alas... Moving back again... Can we just agree that the giant letters are folders in the main ART folder? This is getting exhausting...
MANUFACTURERS
CHILDREN OF THE VAULT: has some cool graffiti, if you're interested DAHL: has the 3rd brigade memorial dam art. if you remember, that's the Dam from BL2 (Bloodshot Stronghold/Ramparts) MALIWAN: differentiates between normal crates, and DARK crates. not sure what that's about but I imagine there was something about the Dark Maliwan soldiers on Nekrotefeyo
INTERACTIVE OBJECTS
MAPSPECIFICOBJECTS > SHARED has GROG JAM. this is from a cut quest about a brother and a sister who are fighting for the throne and also for some reason there's a lot of grog jam. i believe it takes place under the anvil? or in a sewer somewhere. There are some VH lines talking about this quest. Zane says something like "oh, so everyone is crazy down here. sounds like fun!" This will come up again in the Audio section of this post MISPLACED BOYS has a counterfeit Marcus dollar bill. I don't recall this being a quest in game, but maybe I just skipped it by accident. Either way, funny title, funny art. SWITCHES > ERIDIAN has something called an ERIDIAN POSITIONAL PUZZLE. I haven't been able to place where this is supposed to be, so if anyone could help me out, that'd be awesomesauce
ENVIRONMENTS
mostly just signs and posters from these areas. Fun to look through. I especially like Promethea's, since it mentions a MALL. The icons in there are absolutely adorable, too. The decals section also has some unique posters in it, including a Movie Poster for VAULT HUNTERS, which shows Rhys holding up a hologram of his face with a glowing mustache on it. If you're interested, you can also find the signs and decals used on Sanc-III. I extracted Zane's laptop background since I remember a while back someone was asking about it. It's weirdly purple, but it is high-res, which should make making an actual wallpaper out of it super easy.
EMPEROR
Let's look at the Emperor. It's a cut vehicle that looks like a giant tank. It's pretty kickass. It has some weaponry like an Entropy Cannon, Bouncing Lasers, Pulse Rifles, and a Typhoon Cannon. (You can find this in Art/UI/VehicleWeaponWidget). The assets aren't finished, they just have the words pasted over the basic vehicle art, but it's still cool to see. If this vehicle sounds familiar btw, it's because in some old promo material for the game, you can see it hanging out in the background.
ECHOCOMMUNICATOR
you can see some ECHO skins in here. There are some I don't remember, like the FAT CAT one, but I may just be misremembering. You can also get a good look at the PAX and COMICON skins!
ECHO SPRAYCAN
An item I found that I don't remember seeing in-game It's called the ECHOLOR. It's cute. Possibly used during the Trashmouth quest? I can't remember. COMMON COMMON > EFFECTS > TEXTURES there's a lot here. There are some loose files. My favorite is CITYBOSS NWQR because it's a QR code. if you scan it, it just says "NICK WILSON IS POWERED ENTIRELY BY CAFFEINE AND ELECTRODE" (sic) which, same dude. CUBEMAPS has some interesting files, namely LAVACUBE which is obviously the Warrior's Vault and SNOWY PANDORA which looks to be one of the Incinerator Camps in Frostburn Canyon. I'm guessing these were reused from BL2. under the EASTEREGGS folder is a picture of Spatula Khan, as well as a QR code. I havent been able to scan this sucker but it's not like I haven't tried. Speaking of easter eggs, there's one on Nekrotefeyo called Headless Psycho, if anyone's interested. I don't know where it is. ICONS has another picture of Spatula Khan, plus all the critical words in different languages SKYBOX has the Firehawk Sigil in it, if anyone is looking for it SLAG, like the other elements, contains a bunch of animation pictures of slag explosions and such. I'm not saying it was going to be an element in game, but it is here. WANTED POSTERS has color images of all of the hunts. i am VERY MUCH A FAN OF Captain Thunk and Sloth. So much. Such a beautiful face. COMMON > TEXTURES some fun stuff in here BASEMATERIALS has the Eridian swirls I missed oh so much. personally, not a fan of all the red now. Just... not the same. purple is all sickly and shit. We also got uhhhh GOOP. so. that's nice. And more slag textures hanging out. That's all pretty much it for the Art side of things. Let's mosey on over to the Audio side of things To start, i just wanna clarify that this section is not finished yet. But people are ready and raring to go for bl3 cut content, so I'm sharing it now. Some folders, such as 'enemies' or 'npcs' aren't fully sorted yet. Some characters have their placeholder actors in their character folders, which I've started slowly moving over to the 'cut content' folder. Speaking of, I'm sure some stuff in that folder probably is in-game and I just haven't heard it yet, so my apologies if that's the case. This drive will get periodically updated as I find/sort more stuff. I've been keeping an eye out for requested textures (Sasha's picture on Rhys's desk) and audio (Clay saying Ook indeed), so if I find those I guess I'll edit this post? Cool? Cool.
AUDIOLOGS
pretty self explanatory with file structure, i think. In the main folder are all the main characters, in the folder NPCs are side characters. In that folder is a folder titled ENEMIES which is currently still being sorted out. I sort by file size, which is why a lot of the enemy lines aren't sorted yet. CUT CONTENT has a bunch of unused content, as well as placeholder actors. I labeled the files in here because I thought they were interesting enough. Let's get started ACE BARON - has one line about fish oil or smth. definitely his placeholder AURELIA AND WAINWRIGHT - the reason I thought Clay wasn't around early on in development. Wainwright talks about giving Jakobs over to Aurelia. We learn she betrays us, which is when Wainwright decides she's not worthy of holding the Jakobs corporation. We also use a bonfire to set her on fire. AVA TALKING TO LILITH ABOUT HAVING HER POWERS BACK - weird audio line because, if you remember, Lilith gets her powers back and then immediately teleports elpis to god knows where. so she has no time to speak to Ava. And yet, here Ava is, asking Lilith if she can take us to Athenas for noodles. BAR MAN AND THE SECOND STARS - POSSIBLE DLC - yeah at first i thought it was a cut quest, then the bartender started talking about an asteroid and, well, it's pretty in-depth. My favorite part? The leader of the Second Stars used to be a Vault Hunter. Story is that we try to infiltrate the Second Suns to get the bartender's son back. We have to go through trials. It takes place in a DAHL silo by a drydock! so, either we're getting a water planet asteroid, or this is some sort of spaceship port. Which is kickass, by the way. BEETLE SECRETIONS - I think this is hammerlock but honestly I'm not 100% sure. is definitely a placeholder actor though BRICK CALLING MAYA HIS SLAB - pretty self-explanatory. Brick's placeholder actor talking about Maya and calling her his slab. Made me smile BROTHER AND SISTER GROG BATTLE - this is the grog jam stuff. it's WEIRD. also im pretty sure it's, like, a game of thrones reference or something. I would be happy if this were DLC, but I've seen reference to it in the game files and it seems like it was just a long cut quest. BUG SMUGGLERS TV SHOW - POSSIBLE DLC - haha yeah, Todd. Todd is an asshole producer on a TV show called Bug Smugglers. His entire crew is die, and it's up to us to find out who it was and why. AKA get him his footage back "I told my crew not to open that box of infected bugs". the hell, Todd. Captain Hal seems chill tho. entirely possible this is simply a cut quest (that camera side quest from the proving grounds showcase?), but you never know, so i spoiler tagged it. CANNIBALS! - cut quest to kill a bunch of cannibals to get a datadrive from their insides CHEF AND UNCLE - yeah i have no idea where this is from, but it sounds like one of the placeholder actors from the casino DLC CLAPTRAP - pretty sure he's talking about Kevin here. I may be wrong tho CLAY CUT LINES - Clay cut lines. Apparently Red Jabber was a part of his crew! CLAY'S CUT CREW - self-explanatory. 2 people whose voices I don't recognize talking about Clay ELLIE - some placeholder lines for ellie, plus 2 lines about her talking about Scooper! FL4K - Fl4k's placeholder actor GUARDIAN-ERIDIAN PORTALS - Tannis talking about the Eridian Gates I mentioned earlier! HAMMERLOCK - some of Hammerlock's placeholder lines LILITH - hoh boy. lots of stuff here.
I JUST ASSUMED THAT INSTALLING THE ASTRONAV WAS BENEATH SOMEONE OF YOUR STATURE
no idea who this is in reference to but i thought it was funny. maybe the Vault Hunter?
THIS IS LILITH, COMMANDER OF THE CRIMSON ALLIANCE...
"crimson alliance"
"VAULT HUNTER, DID YOU HEAR THAT, TOO? NEVERMIND. COME BACK OUT WHEN YOU'RE READY. YOU'VE GOT SOME FANS WAITING FOR YA"
no idea what this is in reference to, either, but honestly i wouldn't be surprised if in the original ending, lilith was meant to stay on Sanc-III. Would make sense if the vault hunter had fans after, you know, saving the entire galaxy
LORELEI AND OXROAD - line of lorelei talking about some place called oxroad. not entirely sure what this is. MAYA - Maya talkin about stuff. One is about some idiot destroying the only bridge to a temple, so i assume that meant more Athenas stuff. rip. She also originally said Ava's line about how the monks lay themselves to rest with Eridium. The folder has her lines about helping us with Katagawa's Laser and the folder in THAT has all her lines speaking directly to Krieg (you can find all that sweet sweet speculation here). MOXXI - some of her placeholder actress's lines. Also Moxxi reciting poetry that I don't remember from in-game, but I may be wrong MOXXI'S CASINO - confirmed DLC, but I had this in here from the start so I'm not removing it lol MOZE - Moze's placeholder actress NEW-U NEED HELP POWER SHUT DOWN - an interesting quest that canonically refers to a New-U station. Thought that was really weird listening to it the first time, since New-Us are confirmed not canon. NO IDEA - just some stuff that i wasn't sure if it was unused content or i just hadn't come across it NO UNDERWATER COMBAT - im just sad rhys says no underwater content. I want it. I want it so bad. PANDORA REACTOR - a cut bit from the main quest about some sort of reactor starting up on Pandora. not 100% sure what this is about, but I've heard both Tannis and Troy talk about it PLEASURE YACHT PARKED AT A CASINO - Rhys talking about Katagawa's pleasure yacht 'parked at a casino' which I thought was funny, given the Moxxi DLC POSSIBLE BEANS - thinkin it might be pvt. beans SPARROW AND GROUSE - my favorite robotic duo. They had a 3rd bro at one point, who u can hear with the more high-pitched voice- he refers to Sparrow and doesn't speak like Grouse. Dunno what happened to him. SPOT OF TROUBLE - i have no idea what this is from TANNIS - she has some lines hinting that there was supposed to be more carnivora stuff (namely the driving part) TINA - tina's placeholder actress TROY - so this is a fun one. The named file in here is Troy crying over Tyreen. Personally, I theorize Ty either dies here or is defeated and Troy is yelling to shut the cameras off. This is 100% not a line from in game. My friend on tumblr, border-spam, says it's possible tyreen is defeated and Troy brings her back, thus flipping their relationship as parasite-powerholder. Read about it here. TYPHON CANNON QUEST - a quest from Typhon to go get a cannon by killing a named Guardian. I don't remember it happening in-game. TYREEN - some of her placeholder actress WAINWRIGHT - lots of wainwright's placeholder actor ZANE - Zane's placeholder actor ZER0 - Zer0's placeholder actor moving back to the audiologs folder...
MUSIC AND AMBIANCE
I found a lot of songs that aren't on the official soundtrack, including the Fyrestone combat and ambient soundtracks for some reason, Salvador beatboxing, and a bunch of other, fun music mixes (like the claptrap rap). Also 2 tracks of creepy whispering that I can't place. A lot of it is radio music and stuff that hasn't been released yet. I'm not done sorting all the audio files so I may be missing a few radio songs, but I'll be updating my list as time goes on. The ones I named are the ones I found most interesting. The Fyrestone soundtracks are the ones that are making me do the biggest question mark. I don't get it. Anyway, I gotta go to class. If there's anything you want me to find, let me know. I'll do my best. Oh, and bonus: raid folder in the 'prologue' area, which is the areas before you reach Sanc-III. Possibly the door in ascension bluff. alright i gotta go bye Per request: here's the menu screen photo with Krieg.
I am Joe Piscopo, who you might know from Saturday Night Live, Johnny Dangerously, or my appearances on Howard Stern. Go ahead and ask my anything!
Hey guys, really excited to be doing this! I'm here promoting my new movie, "How Sweet It Is", which will be opening in New York, Los Angeles and my home state of New Jersey this Friday, May 10th (https://www.facebook.com/howsweetitisthemovie). I've been briefed on the reddiquette, so please: ONLY ask questions about Rampart. Here's my proof: http://i.imgur.com/aB4AkwD.jpg Full disclosure, I'm not doing this all by myself. Comedian Jay Black (http://www.reddit.com/usejayblackcomedy) introduced me to reddit and set this up for me. He also helped introduce Kevin Nealon to reddit last month (http://bit.ly/17kPEeO). I don't think he's going to stop until every single cast member of Saturday Night Live eventually does an AMA! Do him a solid and check out his website: www.jayblack.tv and follow that cuckoo kid on twitter (www.twitter.com/jayblackcomedy). And while you're at it, follow me on twitter too: www.twitter.com/jrzyjoepiscopo. Anyway, he'll be typing in all the answers, because he's got young, nimble fingers, but know that all the words are coming from me. This isn't a Fake Morgan Freeman situation. See, I get reddit! Cats! Mee-mees! There, do we have enough links and plugs? I think so. Okay, let's do this! EDIT: Thanks for hanging in Reddit! We all have to nap before Jay's show! PLEASE: come see How Sweet It Is this coming Friday! Also, here are some dates for my live shows. Would love to see Reddit there! This Thursday May 9th -- there's a huge event at the Westin in Philly for the Boy's and Girl's clubs. We'd love to see you there. May 18th, Ho-Chunk casino in Wisconsin. June 1st, Benefit for the US Military Veterans -- Bader Field in Atlantic City. June 6th, Club Piscopo at McCloone's in Asbury Park. June 12th, back to the clubs! Gotham comedy club in New York for the 9/11 memorial fund (with Jeff Norris)
NEW THREAD: https://www.reddit.com/PoGoVegas/comments/4uenxg/pokemon_nests_in_vegas/ Please report to this new thread. This has been converted into a Gdoc format that is being moderated by a few users who expressed interest early on. This is to prevent le trolls. Thanks everyone in /PoGoVegas community for your input, we've really made huge strides! ORIGINAL POST: The goal of this post is to catalog in an easy to follow reference of what general locations in Vegas have spawns of specific pokes. This is a community project, so please submit in the comments where you've had luck finding specific pokes and I'll try to get in a couple of edits a day. Note that evolves and rares probably won't have a location, but if you've noticed a trend we can still add it. I'm removing evolves to shorten the list. I live on the west side so I mainly have knowledge about my nearby parks. Please let the community know of anything you've got to add! Open to all suggestions. If you can confirm any information I'll try to add confirms to the list as well. Thanks everyone! Please be aware that some listed areas may not be public access (i.e. golf courses, washes, businesses, etc.). Please follow the law, be aware of your surroundings, and help our community's image. Name: Gavyn Coppola Age: 34 Homeworld: Rorak 4 Race: Human Gender: Male Faction: Coppola Enterprises Inc., Formerly NGR Marine Corp Faction Rank: Co-owner of CEI, Formerly Sergeant of the NGRMC Force Sensitive: No Appearance:Faceclaim Gavyn stands at 6’1 and weighs about 215 pounds. Extremely well toned and exceptionally fit. He has dark brown hair and blue eyes. Personality: Despite no longer being in the NGR Marine Corp, Gavyn is a warrior at heart; he will never shy away from a fight. Fiercely loyal to his brother and business, he will fight to his last breath to protect what he’s worked for. Gavyn isn’t particularly charismatic or outgoing, but has found has physical presence, as well as his newfound position and wealth to be of equal usage. Strengths: Gavyn is a fighter; sharp reflexes and extensive combat training have made him into a fearsome opponent. An explosives expert and decent pilot, Gavyn can handle himself in most situations. He also has a respectable sense for business and can capably command those under him. Also has access to considerable resources. Weaknesses: Gavyn can be stubborn to the point of stupidity. His tendency to act before thinking can often turn bad situations into awful ones; violent outbursts have ruined things for him in the past. He has little in the way of technological skills, knowing only basic mechanics and almost nothing related to slicing. Is suffering from an undiagnosed case of mild PTSD. Items and Attire: Gavyn usually wears a tailored black coat over a tailored white dress shirt and black dress pants, with durable black leather shoes and a red tie. This outfit is of course subject to change depending on the scenario. The coat was designed for use by VIPs, with a layer of armourweave incorporated into it. In a shoulder holster he has an A180 Blaster Pistol. He carries the standard assortment of devices; credits, comlink, datapad, etc. Assets: Gavyn is the co-owner of a heavily modified Ton-Falk class Escort Cruiser, turned casino and passenger ship. In addition to considerable credit reserves, the ship also carries the following craft on board; -6x TIE/LN Fighters -3x TIE/SA Bombers -3x TIE/IN Interceptors -2x Sentinel-class Landing Craft -4x Lambda-class T-4a Shuttle -1x Starrunner-13 class Starship Backstory: Born in 386 ABY on the world of Rorak 4, his father was a human slave runner turned pirate lord named Edson Coppola, working in the employ of the Hutts, and his mother was one of Edson’s personal slave. 386-395 ABY His early life was spent scurrying around his father’s ship with his brother Marclay, trying to avoid a beating, or worse. From a young age, he was exposed to some of the worst horrors the galaxy had to offer; violence, depravity, drugs, you name it. The Outer Rim War was at its peak for Gavyn’s childhood, and Gavyn spent a lot of his time close to his father during this period; watching from a close distance, unseen. Being seen or heard was a good way to catch hands from one of the pirates, who only tolerated them because they belonged to the Edson. 395-404 ABY During the huge NGR-Mando offensive of 395 ABY, Edson’s fleet was pushed back to their base in the Rorak system. The pirates put up a valiant defense, but the might of the military forces eventually won out, and the pirates were decimated. Most of the children and slaves were taken and handed over to the Tion Hegemony forces, including Gavyn and Marclay. They were taken to Raxus, where they were placed with other freed slaves and victims of war. As can be expected from an overcrowded area filled with ex-slaves and other citizens pulled from Hutt space, crime and neglect was rampart. It became clear to the brothers would be responsible for their own wellbeing going forward. They spent most of their days hustling for credits and food, and developed a small scale theft ring. Due to pressure from other, larger gangs and a crackdown on the refugee criminal elements, the brothers decided to leave. 404-414 ABY Gavyn enlisted in the NGR Marine Corp. As it turned out, the discipline and routine of the Marines suited Gavyn well. He rose through the ranks quickly, eventually securing a transfer to the famous 5th Platoon of Marine Sappers, where he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Shortly after his promotion, Gavyn was recruited into a special task force dedicated to taking down criminal elements. After a few successful off-the-books missions, the task force was deployed to the Outer Rim world Thalassia. The mission was simple; destroy an apartment building being used by The Varss Consortium to store weapons and other contraband. Gavyn, the demolitions expert for the mission, planted the explosives along support pillars in the basement, and the team retreated to a safe distance before blowing the charges. Chaos ensued. As it turned out, the task force had been fed bad intel; the apartment building was full of civilians. The NGR denied any involvement in the act of terrorism that occurred on Thalassia. The task force was disbanded and any records of it, even redacted and classified ones, were destroyed. The members of the group were shunted off to different sectors of the galaxy and placed into nothing roles with little chance of furthering their careers. Gavyn was made quartermaster of a small garrison on a quiet Core world. 414-417 ABY The first few months were painfully boring, cataloging and storing weapons and explosives - especially at a reduced salary. But it wasn’t long before Gavyn found a way to turn his situation around; after making connections at a local underground cantina, he struck a deal with a small swoop gang to sell military-grade blasters and thermal detonators at a high price. The identifying markings were struck off the weapons and written off as being destroyed in a training exercise. The deal went ahead successfully, and Gavyn embarked on a new side career as a weapons dealer. Over the next few years he applied for postings in a few different places around the galaxy, operating on the same business model. Eventually he drew some heat from the NGR Marine Corp MP’s, but owing to a lack of evidence, he was never formally charged. It was strongly suggested, however, he resign immediately. Having seen the dirty underside of the NGR Marine Corp, and what happens to those when it goes wrong, Gavyn took the advice and left the Marine Corp. 417 ABY-Present Day Using the connections he’d made in his final days of service, he continued running weapons, carving a reputation as a provider of expensive, but high quality weaponry. He travelled to different parts of the galaxy, buying and selling small amounts of weapons - enough that he could easily hide them on his freighter, a Starrunner-13 class starship he called The Unlucky Mistress. Almost a year into full-time weapons-dealing, Marclay, Gavyn’s half-brother, reached out to him. Working in NGR Intelligence, Marclay had access to all sorts of classified files, including reports of the assault on Rorak 4 over 20 years ago. NGR Intelligence suggested Edson Coppola had amassed a considerable collection of valuable loot from the pillaging that occurred during the earlier days of the Outer Rim War, but it had never been recovered. The two brothers set out for Rorak 4, to search for a 20 year old treasure that may or may not even have existed. It took months, combing over the planet, trying to combine high-tech readouts and information with long-lost memories about their father, but eventually their diligence paid off, and they found Edson Coppola’s lost treasure trove. Before them lay a small fortune of credits, trinkets and treasures. They smuggled the items off-planet and slowly sold them on the black market. Months passed as they discussed what to do with their newfound wealth. Thousands of ideas were thrown out there, and thousands were shut down. Eventually, Gavyn and Marclay settled upon an idea. They invested the money into an old Imperial-era Ton-Falk class Escort Cruiser. The ship sat in a yard for almost a year being retrofitted into a casino ship the brothers named The Ace of Staves. Crew was hired from around the galaxy and eventually, advertising done and the ship was fitted with gambling rooms, bars, VIP sections and various shuttles. The premise for the ship was simple; the brothers would continue their illicit businesses, using the casino as a cover. When Gavyn struck a deal with a client, the client would pay by gambling their money in the casino section; completely legal-ish. The Ace of Staves was open for business. Crew/NPCs: Embyr Odai - Female Devaronian (28) Captain of The Unlucky Mistress, long time acquaintance of Gavyn - ex-NGR Navy pilot turned employee of Coppola Enterprises Inc. Darin Tardun - Male Zabrak (42) Personal Bodyguard and Confidante to Gavyn - ex-NGR Marine, was apart of the anti-Piracy task force Gavyn, left his desk job after Gavyn approached him. Rowan Arden - Male Pantoran (24) Exiled from his affluent family, found almost dead by Gavyn and brought back to full health. He now works as Gavyn’s factotum. Story: 1. The Magnificent Mimban Marauders
I'm trying to keep this a regularly occurring thing and will edit/update it as needed but, be warned, it is a lot of work to generate this. So if I don't get it out some weeks just know that I didn't find the time for it.

Our Very First Ever 'Game Of The Week - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas!'
We wanted to start the Game of the Week Series off with something big, so we thought "What's bigger than GTA:SA on PS2?" The answer of course, is: nothing. This is one of the biggest game worlds on the system, and at the time it was the biggest, greatest, most expansive, detailed, explorable game on any system in the world. And it started out on our beloved PS2 as an exclusive. So give us your memories of the game! What did you love. What was life like when it came out? What is your favorite part. Were you able to "just follow the damn train?." Let us know, because I know that for me, whole weekends were lost to this game when it came out. It was one of the few games that my whole group of friends were playing, and we all played through it at the same time. It connected us more than any other game ever had up until that point. It was wonderful. Anyway, that's enough about my memories. Here is a little bit about the game: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an open world action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on 26 October 2004 for the PlayStation 2 console. It is the seventh title in the Grand Theft Auto series, and was the first main entry since Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002. It was released on the same day as the handheld game Grand Theft Auto Advance. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is played from a third-person perspective in an open world environment, allowing the player to interact with the game world at their leisure. The game is set within the fictional state of San Andreas, which is heavily based on California and Nevada.[a] The state of San Andreas consists of three metropolitan cities: Los Santos, based on Los Angeles; San Fierro, based on San Francisco; and Las Venturas, based on Las Vegas. The single-player story follows Carl "CJ" Johnson, who returns home to Los Santos after learning of his mother's murder. CJ finds his old friends and family in disarray, and over the course of the game he attempts to re-establish his old gang, clashes with corrupt cops, and gradually unravels the truth behind his mother's murder. The plot is based on multiple real-life events in Los Angeles, including the rivalry between the Bloods and Crips street gangs, the crack epidemic, the Rampart scandal, and the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Upon its release, the game was acclaimed by many reviewers who praised the music, story and gameplay. It became the best-selling video game of 2004, and has sold over 27 million copies as of 2011; it remains the best-selling PlayStation 2 game of all time. The game, like it's predecessors, is cited as a landmark in video games for its far-reaching influence within the industry. The violence and sexual content of San Andreas has been the source of public concern and controversy. In particular, a player-made software patch, dubbed the "Hot Coffee mod", unlocked a previously hidden sexual mini-game. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas takes place in 1992 within the state of San Andreas, which is based on sections of California and Nevada. It comprises three major fictional cities: Los Santos corresponds to Los Angeles, San Fierro corresponds to San Francisco, and Las Venturas corresponds to Las Vegas.[8] The environments around these cities are also based on settings within the Southwestern region of the United States. Players can drive up the half-mile (800 m) tall Mount Chiliad (based on Mount Diablo), parachute from various peaks and skyscrapers, and visit 12 rural towns and villages located in three counties: Red, Flint, and Bone counties. Other new features and changes from previous Grand Theft Auto games include: • Gang wars: Battles with enemy gangs are prompted whenever the player ventures into enemy territory and kills at least three gang members. If the player then survives three waves of enemies, the territory will be won and fellow gang members will begin wandering the streets of these areas. The more territory owned by the player, the more money that will be generated. Occasionally, the player's territory will come under attack from enemy gangs and defeating them will be necessary to retain these areas. Once all marked territories are claimed from one of the two other gangs for the Grove Street Families, that gang can no longer attack. Once the player takes control of all the territories, none can come under attack. • Car modification: Most automobiles in the game can be modified and upgraded at various garages. All car mods are strictly visual apart from the stereo and nitrous oxide upgrade which increases bass and gives the car a speed boost when activated respectively; and hydraulics, which lowers the car's height by default and allows the player to control various aspects of the car's suspension. Other common modifications include paintjobs, rims, body kits, side skirts, bumpers and stereo system upgrades. • Burglary: Continuing the series' tradition of controversy, home invasion is included as a potential money-making activity.[12] By stealing a burglary van, CJ is able to sneak into a residence at night, and cart off valuables or shake down the occupants. • Minigames: Numerous minigames are also available for play in San Andreas, including basketball, pool, rhythm-based challenges (dancing and 'bouncing' lowriders with hydraulics), and video game machines that pay homage to classic arcade games. In addition, there are the aforementioned casino games and methods of gambling, such as betting on virtual horse races.[13] • Money: The money system has been expanded upon, compared to previous titles. Players can spend their cash on gambling, tattoos, meals, etc. Excessive gambling loss can force the player to sink into debt, which is shown in red negative numbers. When the player leaves a safehouse, CJ gets an unexpected call and a mysterious person tells him about his debts. Four gang members suddenly appear and shoot Carl on sight if he does not erase the debt when the mysterious person calls him a second time. • Multiplayer: Rampages have been modified to allow two players to complete them. The players are both shown simultaneously on the screen, meaning they must stay within close proximity of each other. The multiplayer rampages provide such functionality. Never Played It? Not In Your Collection? Go And Buy It! Let's kick the "Game Of The Week Series" off with a bang. Let's hear it!
